Lepiota brunneoincarnata, known as the deadly dapperling, is a highly poisonous mushroom found across Europe, north Africa and parts of Asia, typically growing in grassy areas such as parks and gardens. It contains the same amatoxins responsible for the lethal poisoning caused by the death cap, and its small size and superficial resemblance to edible mushrooms have led to fatal poisonings, particularly among people foraging for wild fungi.
