Desert rosy boa

The desert rosy boa is a species of snake in the family Boidae, native to the American Southwest and to Baja California and Sonora in Mexico. It is a small snake, typically 43 to 112 centimeters long, and nearly all individuals show three longitudinal stripes, one along the spine and two along the lower sides, in colors ranging from orange, maroon and rust to brown or black against a rosy or salmon background. Its conservation status is Least Concern.
