Draco Volans

Draco volans, commonly known as the common flying dragon, is a species of lizard in the family Agamidae. It grows to about 22 centimeters including the tail, with a tan body marked with dark flecks; males have tan to bright orange gliding membranes, called patagia, marked with dark banding, while females have irregular markings instead of bands. Like other members of the genus Draco, it can glide using these wing-like lateral extensions of skin. It lives in tropical rainforest, commonly in early second growth forest, open secondary forest, and forest edges, and is exclusively arboreal. It is endemic to Southeast Asia, and is listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List, indicating a stable population with no immediate threats requiring intervention.
