Dromedary Camel, also known simply as the dromedary or Arabian camel, is a large camel of the genus Camelus with a single hump on its back, the tallest of the three camel species. Adult males stand 1.8 to 2.4 meters at the shoulder and typically weigh between 400 and 690 kilograms, while females are somewhat smaller; its distinctive features include a long curved neck, narrow chest, a single hump made of fat bound by fibrous tissue standing 20 centimeters tall or more, and long hairs on the throat, shoulders and hump, with a coat generally a shade of brown.
