Eastern Grey Kangaroo

The eastern grey kangaroo is a marsupial native to the eastern third of Australia, where it remains common with a population numbering in the millions. Large males can weigh up to 69 kilograms and reach a length well over 2 metres, though despite its scientific name, meaning gigantic large-foot, it is not the largest kangaroo species, since the red kangaroo of Australia's semi-arid interior grows larger still, to as much as 90 kilograms.
