Eiao Marquesan Warbler

The Eiao Marquesan warbler is a subspecies of the northern Marquesan reed warbler, found only in dry upland forest on the island of Eiao in the northern Marquesas Islands. It occupies forest and bushland habitat, but extensive habitat destruction caused by feral goats, sheep, and pigs has left the subspecies endangered and possibly already extinct; its population was estimated at only around 100 to 200 individuals in 1987.
