Elephant snail, Scutus antipodes, is a large marine gastropod mollusk of the family Fissurellidae, the keyhole limpets, endemic to the coasts of eastern Australia and Tasmania, also known as the elephant slug, shield slug or ducksbill limpet. It is commonly found under stones in tide pools, where it grazes on algae, and unlike most limpets its soft mantle largely covers its small, flattened shell.
