Emerald Tree Boa

Emerald Tree Boa is a nonvenomous boa native to the rainforests of northern South America, including Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Suriname and the Guianas. Adults display emerald green coloration with white zigzag markings and grow to about 6 feet long, while juveniles are born brick-red or orange and change color to green over roughly a year; the species possesses unusually large front teeth for a non-venomous snake and closely resembles the unrelated green tree python through convergent evolution.
