Fraser's dolphin (Lagenodelphis hosei), also called the Sarawak dolphin, is a stocky oceanic dolphin found mainly in deep waters of the Pacific Ocean and, less commonly, the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. Adults reach about 2.75 meters in length and 200 kilograms, with a small dorsal fin, notably small flippers for its size, and little or no beak, distinguishing it from similar species. Its back is gray blue to gray brown, its belly usually white or pink tinged, and a dirty cream colored stripe runs from the beak past the eye toward the tail. It lives in deep tropical waters roughly between 30 degrees south and 20 degrees north, commonly reported in the eastern Pacific, the Gulf of Mexico and around the Philippines, feeding on pelagic fish, squid and shrimp found 200 to 500 meters below the surface, located by echolocation.
