Gold Dust Day Gecko

The gold dust day gecko is a small diurnal lizard native to northern Madagascar, the Comoro Islands and the Mascarene Islands, and has also been introduced to Hawaii and other Pacific islands. It reaches a total length of about 10 to 13 centimeters and is bright green to yellowish green, marked with gold speckles on the neck and upper back, rust colored bars across the snout and three tapering red bars on the lower back. It lives in tropical forest and often around human dwellings, feeding on insects along with soft fruit, pollen and nectar.
