The golden poison frog is a poison dart frog endemic to the rainforests of Colombia, also known as the golden dart frog or golden poison arrow frog. Despite its small size it is considered the most poisonous extant animal species on the planet, and habitat destruction within its naturally limited range has left it endangered.
