The goliath frog, also known as the giant slippery frog or goliath bullfrog, is the largest living frog species in the world, with specimens reaching up to about 45 centimetres in snout-to-vent length and 4.5 kilograms in weight. It occupies a relatively small habitat range confined to Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea, and its numbers are declining due to habitat destruction, collection for food, and capture for the pet trade.
