Ulva intestinalis is a green alga in the family Ulvaceae, known by common names including sea lettuce, green bait weed, gutweed, and grass kelp. Its tubular members were formerly classified in the genus Enteromorpha until genetic work completed in the early 2000s reclassified them into the sea lettuce genus Ulva.
