Krauss's spikemoss, also called African clubmoss, Selaginella kraussiana, is a species of spikemoss in the family Selaginellaceae, an ancient lineage of vascular plants distinct from true ferns despite a similar lacy appearance. Native to parts of sub-Saharan Africa and Macaronesia, it has spread as an introduced groundcover in many mild, moist climates worldwide, where its fine, trailing foliage is sometimes mistakenly sold under the misleading name peacock fern.
