The Malayan horned frog is a large leaf litter frog of Southeast Asian rainforests, family Megophryidae, named for the fleshy horn like projections above each eye and at the tip of its pointed snout. Its mottled brown coloring and angular body outline break up its silhouette among fallen leaves, letting it sit motionless as an ambush predator for passing insects and other small animals.
