Orange-fin Anemonefish

The orange-fin anemonefish (Amphiprion chrysopterus) is found in the western Pacific north of the Great Barrier Reef, ranging between Queensland and New Guinea and extending to the Marshall Islands and the Tuamotus, usually at depths down to 20 meters. It reaches up to 17 centimeters and has yellow edged fins over a body that shades from yellow brown to dark brown, with two white bars, one behind the eye and one before the anal fin; tail color and overall darkness vary by location and by which of its seven possible host anemone species it lives with. The IUCN rates it Least Concern.
