Pinktoe Tarantula is a tree-dwelling tarantula native to the rainforests of Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Trinidad and Tobago, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil. Mature adults display dark bodies with pinkish feet, the reverse of the pink-bodied, dark-footed coloring of juveniles, and reach about six inches in length; it is popular among beginner tarantula keepers for its relatively mild venom and its tendency to flee rather than act aggressively when threatened.
