Seychelles Day Gecko

The Seychelles day gecko, also called the stripeless day gecko, is a lizard endemic to the Seychelles, with subspecies found on Mahe, Praslin, Silhouette and other inner islands, plus an introduced population on Reunion. It lives in dry and moist forest, mangrove, shrubland, plantations, rural gardens and urban areas, and eats vegetables of almost any kind. It has a notable ability to shift the intensity of its green coloring with light, appearing bright green in daylight but darkening to nearly black when kept somewhere dark.
