The Seychelles frog is one of the world's smallest frogs, family Sooglossidae, found only among leaf litter and damp rock crevices in the granitic Seychelles islands. It skips the free swimming tadpole stage entirely, developing directly inside the egg, and the male carries the tiny newly hatched froglets on his back until they can fend for themselves.
