The silver-eared mesia is a species of bird from Southeast Asia, found across India, Bhutan, Burma, China, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Sumatra. It is named for its characteristic silvery ear patch, and males have red orange rumps while females have yellow rumps; it belongs to the family Leiothrichidae, formerly grouped with the Old World babblers. Its conservation status is Least Concern.
