Typopeltis is a genus of Asian whip scorpions, or vinegaroons, in the order Thelyphonida, and the only genus in the subfamily Typopeltinae. It comprises thirteen described species found across East and Southeast Asia, including China, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and Laos. Like other whip scorpions it is an active nocturnal predator, though detailed description of its appearance and size is not covered in the readily available literature beyond its classification and range, a gap this description does not attempt to fill with invented detail.
