The white-bellied pangolin, also called the tree pangolin, lives in the rainforests of West and Central Africa and is the most arboreal of the African pangolins, using its prehensile tail to move and rest in trees. It feeds on ants and termites found in tree bark, foliage, and on the ground, and is mostly solitary and active at night. It is believed to be the pangolin species most frequently trafficked out of Africa and is classified as Endangered.
