Acroporidae is a family of stony corals comprising several genera of major reef-building corals, including the genus Acropora, the staghorn and table corals, among the most diverse and widespread coral genera on Indo-Pacific and Caribbean reefs. Members typically grow in branching, plate-like or encrusting forms and are important architects of coral reef structure.
