Phoenicopteridae is the flamingo family, order Phoenicopteriformes, comprising a small number of species of tall wading birds recognized by pink or reddish plumage, long legs and downward-curving bills adapted for filter-feeding. The family includes the genus Phoenicopterus, found across parts of Africa, the Americas, southern Europe and Asia.
