Sylviidae is a family of passerine birds built around the genus Sylvia and the closely related genus Curruca. Its members are small to medium-sized birds with thin, pointed bills and inconspicuous plumage. As of August 2024 the International Ornithological Committee recognized 32 species split between the two genera, Sylvia with 7 species and Curruca with 25. The family is found across Eurasia and Africa, with its greatest diversity in the Mediterranean region.
