Anoplolepis is a genus of ants, family Formicidae, subfamily Formicinae, comprising nine species known as pugnacious ants and found mainly in the Afrotropics, with a few native species known from the Malagasy and Oriental regions and some introduced elsewhere. The genus was established by the entomologist Felix Santschi in 1914, with Formica longipes designated as its type species.
