Callospermophilus is a genus of ground squirrel from North America, in the tribe Marmotini of the squirrel family Sciuridae, named by Merriam in 1897 with the type species Sciurus lateralis. The genus contains three species: the golden-mantled ground squirrel (Callospermophilus lateralis) of western North America, the Sierra Madre ground squirrel (Callospermophilus madrensis) of the Sierra Madre Occidental in northern Mexico, and the Cascade golden-mantled ground squirrel (Callospermophilus saturatus) of British Columbia and Washington state.
