Dendrocitta

Dendrocitta is a genus of seven species of long-tailed, highly arboreal passerine birds known as treepies, in the crow and jay family Corvidae and the subfamily Crypsirininae. Members typically show black faces and flight feathers set against rufous backs, rarely descend to the ground to feed, and are resident across tropical South and Southeast Asia, from the Indian subcontinent through the Himalayas and Indochina to Sumatra, Borneo and the Andaman Islands, with their range extending east to Taiwan and Hainan.
