Devario is a genus of fish, family Danionidae, subfamily Danioninae, the family already live in this atlas from a prior wave alongside its other genera Rasbora and Danio, comprising 48 recognized species with the type species Cyprinus devario. The genus is native to the rivers and streams of South and Southeast Asia; members typically have short barbels and many species display vertical or horizontal striping, and they feed on small aquatic insects, crustaceans and worms, with fry consuming plankton.
