Dologale

Dologale is a genus of mongoose in the family Herpestidae containing a single living species, Pousargues's mongoose (Dologale dybowskii), which ranges from the northern Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan and the Central African Republic to western Uganda. It is brown with a grey belly and face, a bushy tail and strong-clawed front feet, with a body length of 25 to 33 centimeters and a tail of 16 to 23 centimeters. It is listed as Data Deficient on the IUCN Red List, and up to the late twentieth century was known only from around thirty museum specimens.
