Euoticus

Euoticus is a genus of small nocturnal primates in the family Galagidae, known as the needle-clawed bushbabies for the prominent ridged, needle-like points on their nails. The genus contains two species, the northern needle-clawed bushbaby (Euoticus pallidus) and the southern needle-clawed bushbaby (Euoticus elegantulus), both native to western equatorial Africa. Their diet is dominated by tree gums and resins, which make up roughly three-quarters of their food intake, supplemented by insects and fruit; the first European specimen of E. elegantulus was brought back by naturalist Gerald Durrell and described in his 1957 book A Zoo in My Luggage.
