Glyphotes

Glyphotes is a monotypic genus containing the single species Glyphotes simus, the sculptor or Bornean pygmy squirrel, endemic to the Sabah and Sarawak regions of northern Borneo, where it lives at elevations from about 285 to 1,800 meters. A very small squirrel, 95 to 145 millimeters long in the body with a roughly 100 millimeter tail, it is marked by yellow coloring on the chest, undersurface, sides of the nose, ear margins, and digits, and by a black-tipped tail; the IUCN lists it as Data Deficient.
