Lariscus

Lariscus, the striped ground squirrels, is a genus of four species found only in Southeast Asia, across Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Borneo, placed in the subfamily Callosciurinae. Several species take their common names from the number of stripes on their backs, and the genus's conservation status ranges from Least Concern, as with Lariscus insignis, to Near Threatened for Lariscus hosei and Lariscus obscurus, with habitat loss cited as the main threat.
