Liberiictis is a genus of mongoose in the family Herpestidae containing a single living species, the Liberian mongoose (Liberiictis kuhni), native to Liberia and Ivory Coast, with confirmed sightings restricted to forests in Liberia and Tai National Park in Ivory Coast. It has a dark brown body with a darker stripe on the neck and shoulders bordered by white stripes, notably long claws, an elongated snout with small teeth, and a bushy tapering tail less than half the length of its head and body. It is primarily insectivorous, forages in packs of three to eight individuals, and is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List because of habitat destruction and hunting.
