Otolemur is a genus of strepsirrhine primates in the family Galagidae, known as the greater galagos or thick-tailed bushbabies. It comprises three species: the brown greater galago (Otolemur crassicaudatus), the northern greater galago (Otolemur garnettii) and the silvery greater galago (Otolemur monteiri). The genus is distributed across coastal and inland regions of southern and eastern Africa, from the Juba River in Somalia south through Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi and Mozambique and west to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and Angola, occupying woodlands, forests and even planted parks and gardens.
