Parapaleomerus is a genus of extinct arthropods in the family Strabopidae and order Strabopida, known from a single species, Parapaleomerus sinensis, described in 1999 from the Lower Cambrian Chengjiang biota of China. Unlike other strabopids, it lacks dorsal eyes and has only ten trunk segments, with a semi elliptical head shield and a trapezoidal tail plate; the largest known specimen measures about 9.2 centimeters long and 9 centimeters wide, and its body is preserved flattened top to bottom.
