Pardofelis is a genus of the cat family Felidae, presently containing one species native to Southeast Asia, the marbled cat, Pardofelis marmorata. The name derives from Latin, combining words for leopard and cat, in allusion to the spots of the type species. Until 2006 Pardofelis was widely accepted as a monotypic genus, but genetic analysis later revealed a close relationship between the marbled cat and two other felid species formerly grouped with it, the Borneo bay cat and the Asian golden cat, which now belong to the separate genus Catopuma.
