Sus

Sus is a genus of even-toed ungulates, family Suidae, comprising nine living species, including the domestic pig and wild boar, plus several extinct species known from fossils, native to the Eurasian and African continents from Europe to the Pacific islands. Members are omnivorous mammals that live in complex social groups and are considered among the more intelligent mammals; roughly one billion domestic pigs exist at any given time, making them among the most populous large mammals in the world.
