Trilocha

Trilocha is a genus of moths in the silk moth family Bombycidae, order Lepidoptera, first described by the English entomologist Frederic Moore in 1855. The genus is sometimes treated as a synonym of the related genus Ocinara, and its type species is Naprepa varians. Documented species range widely across tropical and subtropical regions, from Arabia to South America, including Trilocha arabica and the South American Trilocha guianensis and Trilocha pallescens. As with other Bombycidae, Trilocha moths are nocturnal lepidopterans; one former member of the genus, Trilocha sinica, has since been reclassified into a different genus.
