Eubacteriales, long known as Clostridiales, is an order of bacteria in the class Clostridia, phylum Bacillota, first established by Buchanan in 1917 and validated in the Approved Lists of 1980. Modern classification using 16S rRNA and genomic data has reorganized the family-level composition of the order considerably from its original definition.
