Mycobacteriales, formerly classified as Corynebacteriales, is an order of bacteria in the phylum Actinomycetota and class Actinomycetes. Most of its members produce mycolic acids, waxy compounds in the cell envelope that are characteristic of the order and its type genus, Mycobacterium. The order was first described by Janke in 1924, and its current genome-based definition follows a 2019 emendation by Gupta.
