Palpigradi is the order of microwhip scorpions, also called palpigrades, among the smallest of all arachnids at no more than 3 millimeters and typically only 1 to 1.5 millimeters long. They have a segmented body ending in a whip-like flagellum, no eyes, and lack the waxy waterproof coating found in most other arachnids. As of 2022 the order held eight recognized genera.
