Zoraptera is an insect order sometimes called angel insects or ground lice, small soft-bodied insects occurring in winged and wingless forms and bearing a distinctive nine-segmented beaded antenna. They are mostly found under bark, in dry wood or in leaf litter, feeding largely on fungus and detritus, and the order is absent from Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Europe despite occurring on most other continents.
