Chlorobi, also called Chlorobiota, is a phylum of green sulfur bacteria. Its members are anaerobic photoautotrophs that use hydrogen sulfide rather than water as the electron donor for photosynthesis, and they typically live in sulfide-rich, low-light aquatic environments such as the bottom of stratified lakes.
