Dictyoglomi

Dictyoglomi is a small phylum of anaerobic, thermophilic bacteria known from only a handful of described species, most isolated from hot springs and other high temperature environments. Members of the phylum grow at very high temperatures and produce heat stable enzymes, including cellulose and xylan degrading enzymes, that have drawn industrial interest precisely because they remain active under conditions that would destroy enzymes from most other organisms.
