Camelidae is the camel family of even-toed ungulates, comprising the Old World genus Camelus, the dromedary and Bactrian camels, and the South American genus Lama, which includes the llama, alpaca, guanaco and vicuna. Members lack true hooves, instead bearing two-toed padded feet, and are adapted to arid or high-altitude environments.
