The sebae clownfish (Amphiprion sebae) ranges across the northern Indian Ocean from Java to the Arabian Peninsula. It reaches about 14 centimeters and is blackish or dark brown with a yellow snout, breast, and belly, two broad white bars, and a yellow or orange tail; despite its common name it associates chiefly with the haddon's sea anemone rather than the sebae anemone. Breeding pairs lay 300 to 600 eggs that the male guards until they hatch six to eight days later, and only the largest fish in a group ever becomes female. The IUCN lists it as Least Concern, though a melanistic color form lacking the yellow markings is also known.
