The Seychelles fruit bat, also called the Seychelles flying fox, is a megabat found on the granitic islands of Seychelles as well as on the Comoros and Mafia Island, and is particularly common on Silhouette Island. It plays an important ecological role dispersing tree seeds across island ecosystems, though it is still hunted for food on some islands. Its conservation status is Least Concern.
