The Sunda stink badger, also called the Javan stink badger, teledu, Malay stink badger, Malay badger, Indonesian stink badger, or Sunda skunk, is a mammal native to Indonesia and Malaysia. Despite its common name it is not closely related to true badgers, and is instead an Old World relative of the skunks. Its local Sundanese name, sigung, is a coincidental false cognate of the English word skunk, which comes from an Algonquian language.
