Papiliomaris, whose name means butterfly of the sea, is a genus of bivalved euarthropod of uncertain phylogenetic placement from the Silurian-age Waukesha Biota of Wisconsin, United States. The genus is known from part-and-counterpart fossils of the whole animal and contains a single described species, Papiliomaris kluessendorfae, named in 2025. Phylogenetic analyses place it within a stem lineage near the base of Mandibulata, though its precise relationships remain uncertain and dependent on the interpretation of its fossilized morphology.
